The map is from Gabriel Bucelin’s Historiae Universalis nuclues, first published 1650 by Johann Goerlinus, Ulm. Historiae Universalis nuclues included a total of fifteen woodcut maps derived from Ortelius’ miniatures, all related to Europe (Bavaria, Palatinatus, Saxony, Franconia, Bohemia, Austria, Suevia, Lake Constance, Switzerland, Hungary, Belgium, France, England, Italy and Spain).
